ABSTRACT

This study aims to explore the implementation of proper language strategy in English learning within blended learning during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research was conducted at Universitas PGRI Madiun in Jawa Timur, Indonesia. The location of the study is a non-major English class that is spread across two different faculties and departments that enable blended learning during the study. The subjects or participants of this study were the 70 students of primary education department and physical education and sports departments of Universitas PGRI Madiun. The method for analyzing the data included the data reduction and displaying, and drawing the conclusion. The authors discovered a theoretical and pedagogical gap from previous research. The research results show that students prepared and highly used cognitive strategies in learning English as described below: visual strategy (arranging Google meeting with lecturers and delivering material);verbal strategy (students ask questions to lecturers when students do not comprehend information);listening strategy (listening to lecturers' explanation in online class);writing strategy (participating in online pop quizzes);matrix strategy (having conversations with others). Moreover, students' respond towards their cognitive implementation within blended learning included step 1 (conveying the learning objectives that students want to achieve and motivating students to learn), step 2 (preparing the materials, inviting students to download the library materials), step 3 (explaining the materials and prepared materials), step 4 (forming students into groups), step 5 (guiding students to the presentation, inviting students to present discussion results);step 6 (confirming discussion results and presentation, giving a few questions to students associated with discussion and presentation and providing students with an opportunity to ask vague questions), and step 7 (evaluating groups and individual quizzes. © 2022 Authors. ABSTRACT

This study describes the need to develop and take steps to build Inquiry-Based Social Science Digital Books to improve vocational high school students' critical thinking. This type of research is a case study approach whose data sources are data from class X Vocational High School Students and History Teachers. The data collection methods used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the interactive flow analysis technique, which consisted of data reduction, display, and verification. Based on the results of field observations, the study results showed that student learning outcomes through Distance Learning (PJJ) History during the COVID-19 pandemic were still low. Based on the initial comments in six vocational schools in Sukoharjo Regency, it was found that social studies teachers had difficulties delivering history social studies material to students. As a result, students have difficulty in understanding the subject matter, impacting low learning outcomes. From the interviews conducted, information was obtained that teachers were less skilled at integrating social studies learning using digital book teaching media. Hence, developing an inquiry-based historical, and social studies digital book is still necessary to improve students' critical thinking.

ABSTRACT

The pandemic, which occurs in all parts of the world has changed the order of the learning process for children with special education needs (SEN) which was initially carried out face-to-face to the online distance learning from home. This study aims to see the impact of the Inclusive Teaching (I-Teach) model on the life skills of early childhood students with special needs while studying from home during the covid-19 pandemic. This study is survey research with data analysis using the percentage of life skills assessment in children with special needs, carried out at 6 early childhood education institutions that have children with special needs totaling 12 students with the following specifications: 5 students with autism spectrum disorder, 1 student with speech delay, 2 students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, 1 student with down syndrome, and 3 other students who have not been diagnosed.The research found that, from the six aspects of special needs childrens' life skills, most of them can self-feeding. It showed when children used the cutlery to clean the dishes by themselves. Meanwhile, for the dressing skill, personal hygiene, self-awareness, safety, and others, children still need reinforcement from parent and teacher. 2021 Birlesik Dunya Yenilik Arastirma ve Yayincilik Merkezi. ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 pandemic outbreak that hit the world including Indonesia, made changes in various fields, especially in the field of education. To prevent the spread and transmission of Covid-19, the government made a policy of learning from home (SFH) online with various learning media. school as a place of learning students certainly have to adapt to this policy including all school residents. This study aims to describe the results of the online learning process that was carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic. The place of this research is in the Muhammadiyah MI Special Program Wirogunan, Kartasura in the IVA & IVB class. The research approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach with case study research methods. This research data collection techniques in the form of observations, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and photo and video documentation. The data source of this research came from the principal, class teachers, students, and parents IV A & IVB class. Data validity techniques in this study used data triangulation. Data analysis techniques using interactive qualitative data analysis by Miles and Huberman (2014) consist of data reduction (focusing data), data presentation (presenting data), and concluding research. The results obtained in this study are to describe the implementation that has been well implemented in online learning to provide a learning process for students in the Covid-19 pandemic period. © 2020 ACM.
